Mark Elliot Wishnia will be entering his sophomore year at the Pennsylvania State University in University Park, PA in August, 2009. He is majoring in Communications - Broadcast Journalism. His hometown is in Jericho, NY and attended Jericho High School. Mark Elliot, (which is the name he goes by on air) has wanted to be a famous broadcaster since he was five years old. Mark constantly lowers the volume of Rangers, Giants and Yankees games and records himself broadcasting the game. He has demo tapes at his home. Mark for years has been looking for a place to hold "The Mark Elliot Radio Show." However he got a bonus because his good friend Evan found out about BlogTalkRadio and decided to do a show with Mark. Mark was extremely happy hoping to get a lot of experience and use the shows as demo tapes later on in his life. Mark is a diehard fan of the Yankees, Rangers, Giants and Knicks. He also follows the New York Dragons (AFL).
Also Mark was the Producer and Graphics Coordinator of a very popular Ustream.tv show called SportsTalkNY. SportsTalkNY as well as Mark Elliot was mentioned in the July 25th edition of The Smithtown News. Mark ended his stint as Producer and Graphics coordinator in August of 2008 just prior to leaving for Penn State.
Mark has been recently hired as a blogger on the
Sports Radio NY website.
Mark also hosts a show at the Penn State student run station, Comradio. The show is called What the Heck and can be heard every Friday afternoon at 4:30pm live at
